Why scam channels post brunch photos before the pitch

The avocado toast is not the product — it is softener for the deposit ask that follows.

Info-scam channels rarely open with a spreadsheet. They open with food: hotel breakfasts, dessert close-ups, airport lounges. The meal is social proof by proxy. If the host “lives like that”, the scheme must work. Soft lifestyle posts also make the account feel like a person rather than a sales desk, which dulls the alarm that a pure “guaranteed 3% daily” feed would trigger.

The pattern is older than crypto. Sell the life, then sell the ladder — course, VIP, token, “team pool”. Envy does the prospecting; the referral link closes. Alternating food with motivation and a quiet deposit button keeps the channel sticky between hard asks.

How to check: mute any mentor whose proof is restaurants rather than regulated accounts; ask how they are paid when you click; assume staged plates until bank statements and licences appear. A croissant is not due diligence.
