In August 2020 the company then called MicroStrategy put a large slice of corporate cash into bitcoin. Under executive chair Michael Saylor it kept buying, often funding purchases with convertible notes, other debt and at-the-market equity sales rather than waiting for operating cash alone. In August 2025 it renamed itself Strategy Inc; SEC filings still describe a bitcoin-treasury strategy alongside the older analytics software business.
That is a real, public capital-markets story. It is not a Telegram “MSTR clone” or a stranger’s “Saylor private wallet” offer. Holdings and financing change with each disclosure — check the company’s own filings or investor materials, not a screenshot in a chat.
Fraud scripts love the brand because the narrative is simple: famous company, famous evangelist, endless buy. The check stays boring. If someone wants your deposit because “you’ll ride the same trade as Strategy”, you are not joining a treasury programme — you are funding their address.
