SEC case on Morocoin, Berge and Cirkor clubs

US regulators allege WhatsApp “AI clubs” funnelled victims into fake trading sites and advance fees.

In December 2025 the US Securities and Exchange Commission charged purported platforms Morocoin Tech Corp., Berge Blockchain Technology Co. Ltd. and Cirkor Inc., plus WhatsApp “investment clubs” including AI Wealth, Lane Wealth, AI Investment Education Foundation and Zenith Asset Tech Foundation. The agency’s press release alleges a confidence scam that took more than $14 million from retail investors: social ads, group chats posing as professionals with “AI” tips, then deposits into trading sites that claimed licences they did not have.

According to the complaint narrative, the Security Token Offerings and issuers were fictitious, no real trading occurred on those platforms, and withdrawal attempts triggered advance-fee demands before money was moved through banks and wallets overseas. These are allegations in a civil enforcement action — not a criminal conviction in your inbox — but they map cleanly onto a pattern readers already see: chat trust → fake terminal → fee to unlock.

If a club wants you on a private WhatsApp desk and then onto a branded “exchange” you cannot find in a major regulator’s authorised list, assume the charts are decoration. Check anyone selling securities on Investor.gov; do not pay a release tax to strangers.
