“Your money channel is closed”: mystic finance upsells

Free abundance diagnostics that end with a blocked “money channel” are a sales script, not a measurable financial service.

Scroll long enough and an esoteric account will ask why money “does not stay”, then offer a free diagnosis of your money channel — chakras, ancestral programmes, lunar portals, pick your metaphor. There is no unit of measurement, no instrument, no control group. Banks and economists cannot audit it. That is why the diagnosis is always available: a closed channel can be reopened for a fee, then found blocked again next month.

The funnel is psychological, not mystical. Ads target debt, divorce or career anxiety. The free call harvests your name, photo and story so the reading feels personal. Barnum phrases (“you give too much”, “your family feared wealth”) fit almost anyone. Urgency arrives — tonight’s portal, this moon phase — followed by a cheap ritual and a dearer cleanse. Wins are credited to the practice; failures to your doubt. Psychologists describe the same cocktail as confirmation bias and the illusion of control.

None of this makes curiosity illegal. It does mean you should treat staged payments for “unblocking abundance” like any other advance-fee pitch. Keep therapy and money advice with people whose credentials you can verify. If a mystic already took several rounds of fees and now wants crypto for a final seal, stop and use ordinary fraud-reporting routes rather than a second spiritual recovery offer.
