Channels and bots trading under names like Megan Models, lookalike “official” handles, or “secret nights” branding follow a short script. Polished photos and confidentiality slogans lead to a messenger chat. A meeting is promised soon. Then comes a booking fee, a “security deposit”, or another small transfer that will supposedly be refunded on arrival. After payment, the contact goes quiet — or invents a second fee. Consumer reports and cybercrime write-ups describe the same prepaid pattern across countries; embarrassment keeps many people from reporting it, which is exactly why the model persists.
This is a payment scam, not a dating story. Stolen or stock images and recycled bios are common. There is no need to debate whether adult services exist somewhere legitimate: an anonymous Telegram brand that demands irreversible payment before any meeting, then stacks refundable-sounding extras, is the red flag. Gift cards, crypto and peer-to-peer transfers make chargebacks hard.
Do not send a deposit to unlock an address or “confirm seriousness”. Stop the chat, keep screenshots of the ask, and report the accounts inside Telegram. Shame is part of the business model; reporting still helps others even when you prefer not to share every detail. If money already left, contact the bank or payment provider quickly and use Get help. Ignore anyone who later offers to “recover” the transfer for another fee — see Fake recovery.
