Fake “delete our bad reviews for $10,000” legal mail

A spoofed message offering to scrub critical reviews for a five-figure transfer is not how reputable firms handle reputation.

One reported message pretended to come from a complaint site and addressed the managers of “Legist-Service”, a name that also appears in recovery-scam blacklists. The pitch was blunt: reviews about you are fake, you are actually honest, wire ten thousand dollars to the attachment and we will take the posts down. That is not dispute resolution. It is an attempt to flip the narrative — paint the whistle-blower as the extortionist — while fishing for a panic payment.

Spoofed email offering to remove reviews for a $10,000 transfer

Reputable platforms do not sell takedowns by crypto wallet in an invoice attachment. Law firms that actually represent a company write from their own domain, cite a case file and never ask you to fund silence through a stranger’s payment details. Treat the whole bundle — forged sender, flattery, five-figure urgency — as evidence to keep, not a bill to pay.

If you already lost money to a desk using a lookalike legal name, report through the routes on the help pages rather than paying a second actor who claims they can erase the first story.
