Fake “Binance bot” accounts are not the exchange

Handles like BinanceSupport_OffBot do not ship official trading robots — they ship deposit addresses.

Binance has said clearly that staff do not cold-contact customers on unofficial Telegram accounts to push investments, unlocks or special bots. Yet lookalike profiles keep appearing with exchange logos and names such as “BinanceSupport_OffBot”. The same costume shows up for Bybit, BingX, Bitget, MEXC, Gate, Coinbase and peers: guaranteed returns, a licence fee to “activate” the robot, or a mini-app dashboard that prints profits until withdrawal needs one more deposit.

Large exchanges do offer automation inside their own apps or documented APIs. That is not the same as a stranger’s bot that wants coins sent to an external wallet, your API keys with withdrawal rights, or a subscription paid in USDT. Promises of high, stable, risk-free profit are a classic warning sign — Binance’s own education material flags that pattern for trading-bot fraud. Security firms have also mapped Telegram mini-app kits that clone brand names and stall withdrawals behind referral tasks and top-ups.

Verify any claimed staff or official bot through the exchange’s own verification tool (Binance Verify and equivalents), using links you open from the website you typed yourself. Do not trust a bio, a logo, or a forwarded “success” screenshot. If you already shared API keys, revoke them in the exchange security settings immediately and move funds you still control.

The brand on the avatar is borrowed. The address they give you is not.
