Fake Bybit OTC bots on Telegram

@BybitOTC_bot and its chat cousins are not Bybit — check handles on the official authenticity page.

Handles such as @BybitOTC_bot, with companion channels like @BybitNFTNews, chats like @BybitOTCchat and managers such as @GiftsToBybit, borrow the exchange’s name to look official. They are not. Bybit’s own help material for Telegram P2P notifications points to a specific official bot (commonly cited as @Bybit_Official_P2P_bot) and tells users to verify it through Bybit’s authenticity check. Anything else asking you to “bind a wallet”, send a deposit to activate OTC, or pay a bond is working from the phishing playbook.

The ask is always the same shape: trust the logo, ignore the slightly wrong username, move coins or a seed. Real exchange staff will not DM you a personal OTC desk from a gift-themed account. Type the authenticity tool yourself; never follow a “verify here” link from the suspect chat.

If you already sent funds, preserve the usernames and transaction IDs and use the routes on the help pages — not a second “recovery” bot with the same logo.
