“Just download Binance yourself” — Finnova-style traps

A UK company filing is not an FCA licence — and a manager who needs your Binance API keys is not support.

The pitch sounds careful. A firm such as the one marketing as Finnova Limited tells you to install the real Binance app and register yourself — as if that proves honesty. Then the “analyst” wants a deposit moved to a “safe” address, a QR scan, API keys, or remote-desktop access. Binance has warned for years about third parties who coach victims through official apps while steering the funds.

A quick public check matters. Companies House lists a FINNOVA LIMITED under number 09622034 with IT consultancy as its nature of business — not a broker licence. The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has published a warning about finnova-limited.com / finnova-limited.org and related login domains, stating the unauthorised firm should not be treated as associated with that limited company. A registry row is not permission to take investment money.

If someone already walked you into Binance, enable withdrawal whitelists, revoke API keys you did not create alone, check device sessions, and never share 2FA codes. Report the addresses through Binance’s scam-reporting tools and through your local police. Official apps do not need a stranger’s screen-share to “activate profit”.
