CME Group is real — the broker dropping its name may not be

A link to cmegroup.com does not make the person in your chat an exchange member.

CME Group is a major derivatives marketplace. Its official site is cmegroup.com; the group operates designated contract markets such as CME, CBOT, NYMEX and COMEX and lists futures and options across rates, indices, commodities and more. That much is easy to verify in one search.

Fraud rooms still love the brand. A “senior analyst” shows you the real homepage, mentions Bitcoin or commodity futures “through CME access”, then steers deposits to a private terminal that has nothing to do with the exchange. Trustpilot one-star rants aimed at the CME domain are also a weak signal on their own — retail gripes often describe intermediaries, misunderstanding of futures, or entirely unrelated clone sites.

Trust the exchange’s own URL and membership lists; distrust cold outreach that borrows the logo. If you cannot open an account through a known clearing firm or broker you chose yourself, you are not “on CME” — you are on someone’s story.
