BloFin: high leverage, thin consumer cover

BloFin markets aggressive perpetual futures — and France’s AMF has listed blofin.com as unauthorised.

BloFin (blofin.com) presents as a centralised crypto venue with a heavy derivatives slant: perpetuals, copy-trading, bots and “earn” products, with marketing that highlights triple-digit leverage on major pairs. Public profiles often place the business in an offshore setup (Marshall Islands / related entities appear in third-party write-ups). High leverage is not a bug in the product — it is the product. A wrong-way move can liquidate a account long before any “support chat” finishes typing.

Separately, France’s Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) has blacklisted blofin.com among sites offering cryptoasset services without authorisation there (entries around December 2024 / a January 2025 warning round). That is an official investor-protection signal for people in France, not a global court verdict that the platform is fake. It does mean EU-style complaint routes and licensing comfort you might expect from a MiCA-authorised firm are not what you should assume.

Also watch the clone ecosystem: lookalike domains and “Blofin Ext”-style names show up in warning lists elsewhere. Type the URL yourself. If you still use offshore derivatives desks, size positions as money you can lose in one bad candle — because leverage will finish the sentence for you.
