Bitget Capital is not the Bitget exchange

Borrowing a famous exchange name, then freezing “profits” behind a fake regulator letter, is a well-worn script.

Bitget is a real cryptocurrency exchange that operates from bitget.com and related official properties. “Bitget Capital” / BITGET CAPITAL LTD / bitgetcapital.com is a different animal: a trading or fund-style brand that rides the same name. The Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) has published an alert about scam victims being shown a forged DFSA “Notification” that claimed Bitget Capital accounts were frozen and that funds would be released after further steps involving a bank — documents the DFSA says it did not issue. Romania’s financial supervisor has also been cited for listing the firm as unlicensed.

The sales pattern matches other clone desks: deposit bonuses, promised returns, then blocked withdrawals and official-looking PDFs. None of that is how a genuine top-tier exchange handles a dispute.

Check the domain you type yourself. If the URL is not the exchange you meant, stop. Look up any licence number on the regulator’s own site, not on a letter attached to a chat. And never pay a fee to “unfreeze” an account because a stamped PDF told you to.

If this pattern matches something you’ve been offered, start at Get help. If someone is already pitching “recovery”, read Fake recovery before you pay another fee.
